Riva Mare, the previously announced coastal Italian restaurant from the Indigo Road Hospitality Group, is slated to open in North Charleston in late summer 2026.
Located in the city’s emerging Design District within the greater Navy Yard development, a mixed-use neighborhood along the Cooper River, Riva Mare will offer rooftop views, open-air dining and a seafood-forward menu inspired by Italy’s Amalfi and Ligurian coasts.
Highlighting the lighter, coastal cuisine of Italy, Riva Mare will showcase bright olive oil-based dishes and an emphasis on locally sourced seafood and seasonal vegetables, a departure from the rich red-sauce traditions associated with other regions.
