Albuquerque renters and buyers using income-based housing help will face new HUD thresholds that shifted upward, changing who qualifies for rent-restricted apartments and HOME-funded assistance programs.
The area median income for a family of four in the Albuquerque metro is now $100,400, according to the city’s updated income and rent limit chart. That figure is the baseline HUD uses to set eligibility for programs tied to HOME income and rent limits.
The new limits took effect June 1.
