ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The second day of monsoon won’t feel much like monsoon as a heat wave will really hit New Mexico for Tuesday and really the rest of the week.
Only parts of southern New Mexico will have a small chance at some spotty showers and a few thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Expect little rainfall.
With some of the beneficial rainfall seen recently, vegetation should be a bit less dry and should keep wildfire danger at a minimum if drier cloud-to-ground lightning strikes were to strike. Fire danger is heightened for the Four Corners this afternoon…
