BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department’s Impact Unit participated in an encampment clean-up operation between Coffee Road and 24th Street last week that resulted in 10 arrests.
BPD officers responded to an area near the Kern Riverbed on June 10, after receiving complaints of an decampment. Through the clean-up operation with multiple other agencies, 22 encampments in the area were cleared.
