BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 19-year-old from Buffalo has been arraigned on multiple charges after a 6-year-old was hit by a stray bullet.
According to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, Markus J. Wright, 19, has been indicted on the following charges:
- One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree
- One count of Assault in the 2nd Degree
- One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree
- One count of Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree
District Attorney Michael Keane says on Tuesday, June 9, shortly before 10:30 a.m., Buffalo police responded to Hager Street for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a child with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The child was taken to Golisano Children’s Hospital to be treated.
