Rives Township holds special board meeting

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Rives Township Board is holding a special meeting Friday to discuss multiple topics, including overpayment to its ex-treasurer and court proceedings involving the Jackson County Treasury and a township resident.

The meeting was scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Friday at 106 W Main Street.

The township’s ex-treasurer, Janina Teske, resigned in June 2023, hours after Jackson County election officials approved a recall petition against her. She had been audited earlier that year, which revealed that she had been paid too much for some of her duties…
