Michigan Wolverines’ head coach Kyle Whittingham has only one target at the moment, and that is to use recruiting season to his benefit. The latest victim of his expansion plans is Alabama, which appears under pressure following Whittingham’s latest move.
One of the biggest storylines centers around elite EDGE prospects and interior linemen who have recently taken visits to Ann Arbor. This includes top Midwest recruit John Henry Daley and rising defensive lineman Recarder Kitchen. Daley, a former Utah standout who followed Whittingham to Michigan, has become a central piece of the Wolverines’ defensive rebuild after earning All-American honors in 2025.
What makes the move a heist into the Alabama territory is that Michigan is targeting the same contenders the Crimson Tide is trying to get its hands on.
