PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A man convicted of firing at five Taco Bell employees in West Palm Beach, injuring two of them, was sentenced Monday to life in prison.
Chevarus Jywaun Stewart was sentenced during a hearing in Palm Beach County court. Court records show Stewart received life in prison on counts one through six, which included attempted murder and armed burglary charges. He was also sentenced to 376.8 months in prison, or nearly 31 and a half years, on a seventh count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Stewart was given credit for 1,582 days already served in jail. The judge also ordered him to have no contact with the victims or their families…
