LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – A major multimillion-dollar initiative is aimed at making Mid-Michigan communities more age-friendly and safer for older residents.
AARP is investing a record $8.3 million nationwide through its Community Challenge grant program to fund quick-action projects designed to improve neighborhoods and quality of life.
Among the 16 grants awarded in Michigan, Michigan State University will receive $13,357 to pair volunteers with older adults and provide personalized support using everyday digital tools.
