Caroline Peña, a Del Rio mother of five, was brutally stabbed to death in broad daylight in the middle of a busy road on June 25. Two sisters, Amaya Cookie Diaz and Kitty Mia Diaz, teamed up with a friend, Kyandra Renee Faz, to carry out the sinister act. The trio is facing murder charges while law enforcement officials investigate to find a motive behind the grisly crime, per the New York Post.
Peña was rushed to seek medical help at the Val Verde Regional Medical Center and then subsequently to a San Antonio medical facility, but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

Around 2:10 p.m. local time, law enforcement officials at Del Rio responded to a report from the Val Verde Regional Medical Center about a woman who had sustained multiple stab wounds, per KENS 5.
