Virginia Father Says Store Wrongly Accused His 14-Year-Old Daughter of Shoplifting: ‘Absolutely Outrageous’

A shopping trip at a Virginia mall turned into a stressful experience for a father and his 14-year-old daughter after they were accused of shoplifting at a clothing store, despite the father saying the jeans had been purchased from another retailer just moments earlier.

The incident was shared on X by @theMakarioz, along with a nearly 10-minute video recorded at Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge, Virginia. The footage shows several police officers speaking with the family inside a True Religion store after the store manager reportedly suspected the teen had stolen a pair of jeans.
