(WFXR) – Southwest and Central Virginia will experience increasing heat and humidity this week, with heat index values in the triple digits. People should take precautions to stay cool, hydrated, and safe, so cooling stations will open up to help residents beat the heat.
From Tuesday, June 30, through Saturday, July 4, fire stations in Clifton Forge will open as cooling stations because of the forecasted heat.

Chief Barry S.
