AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The staff at the Amarillo Zoo and Sanctuary are hard at work as they prepare for the upcoming Animal Parade in celebration of the Fourth of July.
The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. on July 4th at the Amarillo Zoo and Sanctuary. The parade is included with the regular zoo admission, no additional cost necessary. A food truck will be on-site.

Organizers encourage you to bring your lawn chairs and find a spot along the parade route inside the zoo to see some of your favorite animal ambassadors, along with a few special guests. The first 100 guests will receive a gift.
Zoo officials said they are putting the finishing touches on decorations and are making sure everything is ready for a fun and memorable Independence Day celebration. Zoo officials shared that Dudley, their Vietnamese potbellied pig, was so excited about his parade training that he decided to take a few extra laps before heading back to the barn.
