DAVENPORT, Fla. (CBS12) — A group of young vacationers, many from Palm Beach County, turned a Wawa snack run into a coordinated theft spree ending in 15 arrests.
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office say a dozen adults and three minors were arrested Friday at the Wawa on Old lake Wilson Road in Davenport after employees reported a group stealing food and drinks and consuming some of the items inside the store.
Investigators say the suspects pulled up to the gas station in a BMW, a Tesla, and a Honda Accord and rotated in and out of the store for over 15 minutes concealing items including drinks, chips, and ramen noodles before eating some of the stolen muchies…
