Sedgwick County tag offices operating with reduced hours, starting Wednesday

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Starting Wednesday, Sedgwick County is reducing hours at its tag offices and call centers. The offices opened at 8 a.m. Wednesday, a reduction from an expansion at the start of the year in which the tag services were available from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

12 News is reaching out to the Sedgwick County Treasurer’s Office to confirm why the tag office hours are reduced from what was in place for about six months and how the county plans to address wait times and delays.

A long line formed early at Wichita’s Delano location, where several lined up as early as 6 a.m., anticipating the office to open at 7 a.m., as has been the case for several months…
