SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A convicted felon is behind bars after stealing a firearm and other valuables from a Chattaroy home, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
Sean T. Ponder, 40, was arrested early June 19 after deputies located him at his N. Pines Road residence. On June 18 at approximately 1:45 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary report near E. Porcupine Lane and N. Whitetail Lane. The victim reported someone stole laptops, keys, a cryptocurrency key, and a .22 caliber pistol.
After reviewing surveillance video at 11:15 p.m., investigators identified Ponder as the suspect. A records check revealed he was prohibited from possessing firearms and had prior burglary arrests in January 2026…
