Woman arrested on Highway 79 after deputy finds meth, cash during traffic stop

STEWART COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A routine speeding stop on Highway 79 led to the arrest of a local woman after a sheriff’s deputy found methamphetamine in multiple locations inside her vehicle, including on her person, according to the county sheriff’s office.

On Monday, a deputy pulled over a vehicle for speeding. Upon stopping the vehicle, the deputy detected an odor of marijuana.
