LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A woman died while in the custody of the Women’s Huron Valley Correctional Facility Thursday, officials say. Her death is the fourth in two months at the Washtenaw County prison.
Dalephenia Jones died at the hospital, the Michigan Department of Corrections said in a release. She was 62.
The MDOC says she had a cardiac event on June 19. On that day, MDOC officers brought her to the facility’s healthcare area, where staff called for an ambulance. She had surgery while at the hospital, where she stayed until her death…
