TOLEDO, Ohio — The FBI has joined the search for an 11-year-old child who went missing Thursday morning near a local marina, where authorities have since recovered a body.
Lucas County Sheriff Mike Navarre told WTOL 11 Thursday afternoon that a body was recovered from the water near Meinke Marina, though the individual’s identity has not been confirmed.
According to Navarre, the missing child had been with a babysitter and the owner of a boat. The babysitter was located safe and is currently being questioned by detectives, Navarre said.
As of 1:00 p.m. Thursday, the boat involved in the incident has not yet been located…
