Spokane Homeowners Must Stop Using Backyard Fire Pits Under New Fire Restrictions

Spokane homeowners are being told to stop using backyard fire pits and campfires as new fire-danger restrictions take effect across the county.

The City of Spokane said fire marshals from Spokane, Spokane Valley, Spokane County, Cheney, Airway Heights, and Deer Park enacted countywide burn restrictions beginning at 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30.
