ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – According to AAA, more than 2 million Virginians are expected to travel somewhere for Independence Day weekend, with about 1.9 million hitting the road.
AAA Mid-Atlantic spokesperson, Morgan Dean, said people should avoid traveling during the middle of the day if they want to avoid traffic backups. He also recommended avoiding distractions while driving, watching your speed and always driving sober.
