NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — This Saturday is the big day for celebrating our nation’s independence, and while plenty of communities will have big fireworks displays or parades to celebrate, some Middle Tennessee communities are opting for fitness events.
Several Middle Tennessee cities are holding races on the Fourth of July, getting their Independence Day celebrations off on the right foot.
Spring Hill
Spring Hill will see the fifth annual Run for Hunger 5K take place at Summit High School. Registration opens at 6 a.m., with the timed race to begin at 7 a.m.
In addition to the timed 5K, there is also a color fun run and a bicycle and stroller parade option available. Registration is $45 for the 5K, $40 for the color fun run, and free for the parade.
