EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene Police handled an exceptionally busy July 4 weekend with multiple dynamic scenes happening across the city, including a fatal motorcycle crash, an armed suspect at a downtown bar and dozens of illegal fireworks calls, according to the Eugene Police Department.
EPD officials said a motorcyclist died after crashing with a car around 4:30 p.m. July 4 at Royal Avenue and Legacy Drive. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. The Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation team is investigating.
