SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WRGB) — As America prepared to celebrate its 250th birthday – and the Capital Region looks ahead to Saratoga 250 in 2027 – Revolutionary War reenactor Barry Regan visited the CBS6 studio.
He came bearing a Revolutionary War-era musket and period clothing.
“This is a civilian outfit a local farmer would wear. But then, once the Revolutionary War came, this was what they wore to the Battle at Lexington,” Regan said. “They just left their house, and they were wearing what they were wearing, and this was what they wore up until they were issued hunting frocks, which was the first real uniform, the actual Continental uniforms.”…
