BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A Burlington woman is facing several charges after being accused in a shooting early Sunday morning, according to the Burlington Police Department.
At around 3:04 a.m. on Sunday, officers came to the 2000 block of Chapel Hill Road after getting a report of a shooting.
Teen accused of using plasma cannon to break into Smith High School
At the scene, police found two women who had been shot while inside their vehicles after an argument at a local bar.
Investigators identified the suspect as 32-year-old Charity Denise Russell and took her into custody on the following charges:
- Felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
- Three counts of felony discharging a weapon into an occupied property
- Misdemeanor discharging a firearm in the city limits
- Misdemeanor injury to personal property
- Misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon
