Wichita-area hospitals treat dozens of fireworks-related injuries over Fourth of July weekend

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Wichita-area hospitals treated dozens of fireworks-related injuries over the Independence Day holiday weekend, according to data provided by Wesley Medical Center and Ascension Via Christi.

Ascension Via Christi said 17 people had checked into the St. Francis emergency room with fireworks injuries as of 3 p.m. Sunday, July 5.
