Two 14-year-olds arrested in St. Charles Catholic High School burglary

Two 14-year-old boys from Laplace have been arrested in connection with the burglary of St. Charles Catholic High School, where athletic equipment, championship rings, and electronic devices were stolen, the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

The juveniles were arrested on Friday, July 3, and booked with felony unauthorized entry of a place of business and simple burglary of an immovable structure. During interviews with investigators, both juveniles confessed to their involvement in the crimes, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said all of the items reported stolen have been recovered, including three Apple iPads, four football helmets, four pairs of cleats, four state championship rings, and a backpack. The juveniles were later released into the custody of their parents…
