WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — D.C. police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a man dead in Southeast over the weekend.
The Metropolitan Police Department said officers found the man in the roadway in the 1200 block of Sumner Road SE after responding to a call for a crash reportedly involving a pedestrian just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Medics rushed the man, who had serious injuries, to the hospital for treatment. However, he later died at the hospital, police said.
