(KRON) — A significant earthquake shook parts of the North Bay and was felt around Napa and St. Helena. The initial quake had a preliminary magnitude of 3.6, according to the United States Geological Survey.

It was epicentered about 17 miles east-northeast of Santa Rosa and 19.6 miles north of Sonoma. A smaller, but still sizable, aftershock in the same area registered at 2.6 magnitude.
There were no preliminary reports of damages or injuries from either quake.
