West-side Mexican restaurant will move to bigger space, add a second menu

A west-side Mexican restaurant that’s gained a following since it opened nearly seven and a half years ago is about to move to a bigger spot nearby — and significantly add to its offerings.

Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant owner Pedro Guevara said that he recently signed a lease to take over the spot at 756 N. Tyler, which over the years has been home to Red Mesa Grill, Augustino Brewing Company, The Angry Elephant, Lito’s, and Eclipse Bar & Grill.

He hopes to have the restaurant open by September, he said. In the meantime, it will continue to operate at 602 N. Tyler, which is less than half a mile away from the new spot…
