WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Kansas Humane Society employee turned to Facebook to track down the owner of several mystery packages delivered to the shelter’s door. What he found was not someone looking to reclaim her items, but a Wichita woman who had intended for the shelter to have them all along.
Curtis Westbrook, a Kansas Humane Society employee, said the first package arrived with no explanation and no one on staff recognized the name on the label.
“Initially it was just trying to figure out who — we realized that no one that worked here,” Westbrook said. “It wasn’t anyone here. We thought maybe they belonged next door to an employee, but they told us that they didn’t have anyone by that name.”
