ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A fire at a vacant school building is under investigation in Albany. The Albany Fire Department was dispatched to the old Sunshine School on Lincoln Park Road at 5:47 p.m. on Tuesday.

When they arrived, Chief Joseph Gregory says fire crews were met with smoke conditions. They located a small fire in the basement of the building from what appeared to be a rubbish pile.
Firefighters made a quick attack on the fire in the two-story building. The fire was knocked down quickly and under control by about 6:21 p.m. The location of the fire required extensive overhaul.
