WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Dozens of people have filled the parking lot of Wichita’s DCF office this week, waiting hours to resolve EBT benefit issues, with some saying they have returned for multiple days without being seen.
Sheik Bilalabdulsalaam-bey, who said his EBT benefits were cut off in April, said he had been coming to the office for three consecutive days. He said he arrived at 7:30 a.m., got inside at 8 a.m., and was assigned number 161 — but had not been called after hours of waiting.
“It’s ridiculous. People bring their children out here at six in the morning and you still got to wait for more hours. Most of the time you’ll be there for most of the day,” Bilalabdulsalaam-bey said…
