Man arrested in Omaha after woman pushed from vehicle near Valley

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man was arrested Thursday morning in Omaha on suspicion of assaulting a woman outside of Valley last week.

Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies took Joseph McNeal, 43, into custody Thursday morning near 38th Avenue and Dodge Street. He is facing charges of false imprisonment and terroristic threats.

Investigators say he struck a woman reported Tuesday, June 30, from the area of 278th Street and Pawnee Road, north of Valley, that she got into McNeal’s car near 37th and Jones streets in Omaha.

“The victim alleged that the suspect struck her multiple times while he drove his vehicle, causing significant injuries, before pushing her from his vehicle near Valley and leaving her on a dirt road,” the DCSO release states…
