OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) — A local nonprofit that provides housing, medical and other assistance to people with developmental disabilities is working to retain its contract with Douglas County after commissioners gave the organization an ultimatum earlier this year.
In March, Douglas County commissioners gave Duet a choice: address its financial and operational issues or lose its county contract. The ultimatum followed questions surrounding the nonprofit’s finances and operations, which led to previous management resigning.
