A Flatbed Tow Truck And This I-81 Bridge Had A Rough Thursday Morning

A Syracuse man has been issued several traffic tickets after the tow truck he was operating, and it’s cargo, didn’t clear the height of the overpass above him. Take a look at the pictures below, one vehicle is destroyed.

In 2025 New York Governor Kathy Hochul launched the ‘Check your height, know it’s right’ campaign. This was designed to remind commercial vehicle drivers and large trucks in the Empire State and beyond to prevent bridge strikes by knowing how tall your load is.
