AUSTIN (KXAN) — The United States Postal Service on Saturday released a special collection of stamps commemorating Mattel’s iconic Barbie dolls.

USPS representatives were at the Hilton Downtown promoting the stamps Saturday morning as part of the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention.
“Barbie is just an example of, you can be anything you want,” Becky Hernandez, a spokesperson for USPS said. “The stamps feature her as a surgeon, paleontologist, nurse, sign language teacher, engineer. So, the sky’s the limit.”
Hernandez said the postal service’s Citizens’ Advisory Stamp Committee chooses new stamps, which aim to represent “anything that inspires, that motivates our citizens.”
The stamp collection, pictured below, features the following iterations of Barbie:
- 1961 registered nurse
- 1973 surgeon
- 1986 astronaut
- 1995 firefighter
- 1996 paleontologist
- 2000 sign language teacher
- 2018 robotics engineer
- 2019 judge
- 2022 soccer player
- 2025 musical artist
