Local builders fear a change to municipal stormwater regulations would spell disaster for new homebuilding in Kirkwood.
Speaking out during a recent town hall meeting at Kirkwood City Hall, several area home builders took to the podium to object to proposed limits on new home basements, as well as extensions to basements in existing homes.
“Who’s going to buy a home without a full basement?” asked Mark Rasch of Benchmark Homes. “I don’t think taking away basements is the right thing to do.”…
