The Oregon Ducks came into the Summer, and college football’s Official Visit season with a need to make a splash on the recruiting trail. The Ducks entered the Summer with the Nation’s 9th ranked recruiting class which was solid, but it wasn’t quite the standard Dan Lanning has set during his tenure.
The coaching staff couldn’t have had a better Summer as each weekend of Official Visits seemingly resulted in several commitments. While there were plenty of big recruiting wins for the Ducks, none felt bigger than when Oregon landed wide receiver Dakota Guerrant over Michigan on The Pat McAfee Show.
While Oregon was after higher ranked recruits in the rankings, the Ducks made Dakota Guerrant a bigger priority than any other prospect. The coaching staff and the entire fanbase could see that Guerrant was a talent worthy of a 5-star, and on Monday Morning, he finally received the respect he deserved…
