62 removed, 7 trespassed, 1 arrested during Wellington teen takeover operation, PBSO says

WELLINGTON, Fla. (CBS12) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says 62 people were removed from The Mall at Wellington Green, seven were formally trespassed and one person was arrested during an operation tied to a planned teen takeover that had been promoted on social media.

On Monday, PBSO provided CBS12 News with the results of its Wellington Green Mall operation conducted during the anticipated teen takeover event. According to the sheriff’s office, 62 teens were removed from the property, seven were officially trespassed, and one teen was arrested.

PBSO said mall security initially handled disruptive behavior by asking teens involved in the gathering to leave the property. A total of 62 people were removed. Deputies then issued trespass warnings to seven teens who gave security personnel a difficult time or refused to comply.
