COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Chuck Williams sits down with Columbus Police Chief Stoney Mathis for the Sunday Conversation.
Mathis will be retiring at the end of the year after more than three years at the helm of the department. He started in an interim role and was then hired to fill the full-time position. He came into a department that was severely understaffed. He has hired more than 100 additional officers to bring the department back to adequate staffing levels.
