NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The commute around Nashville is expected to improve as the city works to make red lights shorter and signal timing better.
The Nashville Department of Transportation (NDOT) is using fiber-powered advanced traffic controllers in smart signal cabinets.

The first smart signal cabinet was installed at Harding Place and Ezell Pike in South Nashville and more are on the way.
