Shutting down Jon’s Grille was a difficult decision for chef Jon Bonnell, who on Saturday announced the restaurant’s closure on Facebook.
The eatery was one of four concepts started by Bonnell’s Restaurant Group. The longtime Fort Worth culinary artist focused on a ranch-to-table philosophy at Jon’s Grille by showcasing locally sourced beer, spirits and food from Texas, according to the restaurant’s website.
“It’s just a tough time in the restaurant business right now,” Bonnell said. “The price of meats, and we’re a very meat-heavy restaurant, makes it really difficult to price competitively.”…
