HONOLULU (Island News) — Moderate to locally breezy trade winds will continue across Hawaii today as high pressure remains north of the islands. The winds are expected to ease slightly beginning Tuesday and remain lighter through the rest of the week.
Passing showers will continue to favor windward and mountain areas, although a few showers may reach leeward communities. Another area of moisture is expected to move in Tuesday through Tuesday night, bringing more showers before drier weather returns on Wednesday and Thursday. There is also a chance for wetter weather again by Friday and into next weekend.
At the beaches, east-facing shores will remain rough and choppy today before surf gradually lowers through the middle of the week. South shore surf will slowly decline before receiving a small boost later this week, while north shore surf will remain very small…
