Twin Bridges adds fuel surcharge to trash bills

CLIFTON PARK — Twin Bridges Waste & Recycling has added a 10% fuel surcharge to its July residential service bills to compensate for the rise in diesel fuel prices.

Twin Bridges, a Clifton Park-based operation owned by Casella Waste Systems of Rutland, Vt., is just the latest business to add a fuel surcharge to its bills in an attempt to recoup the higher fuel costs caused by historic inflationary pressures and the U.S. war with Iran.
