An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Midland, Bay, Huron, Saginaw, Tuscola, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee, and Monroe counties due to elevated fine particulate levels from wildfire smoke, starting July 15th, 2026. Residents, especially those with heart or respiratory conditions, should avoid strenuous outdoor activities as air quality may reach unhealthy levels.
