COLONIE — Power outages hit the Albany International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
National Grid maps show that the electricity to the airport’s private aircraft carriers and main passenger areas cut out shortly before 3 p.m. A spokesman for the energy company did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
“We are told their crews are working on fixing it,” the airport’s spokesperson, Matthew Hunter, said.
The outage affected the traffic light near South Garage, the airport fire department, maintenance hangars and Million Air, Hunter said. Million Air and the fire department were running on backup generators and their operations had not been impacted as of Tuesday afternoon…
