WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The former employee of a Waynesboro machine shop and her husband were arrested on charges related to an alleged embezzlement scheme.
On March 26th, Captain Benjamin Lemons says Waynesboro authorities were notified that a financial audit at the shop uncovered that a former office manager had allegedly misappropriated business funds.
Investigators found that between February 2025 and February 2026, Linda Lockhart had utilized business funds for unauthorized purposes and had obtained a credit card in the business’s name without the owner’s knowledge…
