(WJW) — A Heat Advisory is in effect on Tuesday, July 14, until 8 p.m. for Cuyahoga, Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa and Sandusky counties.
On Wednesday, July 15, a Heat Advisory will be in effect for Ashland, Carroll, Coshocton, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Erie, Holmes, Huron, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Sandusky, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, and Wayne counties from noon until 8 p.m.

Those communities in the heat advisory Tuesday will feel a heat index between 98 and 102 degrees briefly in the late afternoon. The counties not in the advisory will still be hot with a heat index in the mid to upper 90s.
Actual air temperatures will range from the low to mid 90’s. The heat wave this week will not be as intense as the one at the end of June/the beginning of July.
The heat backs off by the weekend allowing for a weak front to drop down from the northwest Saturday and Sunday. Unsettled weather returns to area bringing rounds of showers and thunderstorms to area for several days.
