VIDEO | Gov. Meyer expresses confidence in two investigations into police conduct

Among the many Delawareans anticipating the results of two high-profile police investigations is Governor Matt Meyer.

Meyer spoke out last week shortly after video of an incident involving a state trooper in Kent County went viral. The video shows that a woman who had been pulled over in a traffic stop started to argue. She was punched and hit with an electronic stun gun.

Meyer said Tuesday that he has also spoke with Kadir Skinner’s father, and said again how sorry he was for the family of the 19-year-old man who died in a police-involved shooting in Wilmington in late June.

“Whatever the police incident is Delawareans deserve a full honest and public accounting of what happened on that night in Wilmington, what happened on that day in Camden – that includes the release of body camera footage in the Wilmington incident per the family’s request, and a full and fair investigation,” Meyer said…
